This Saturday after diving, Nick and I decided to drive down to Temecula wine country with some friends for a little wine tasting and good times. It was a gorgeous day and we had a great time. One of our friends, Spencer came with a girl he's been dating recently, Louise, so she could get to know some of his friends. She and I ended having quite a few things in common and had a great time together with the guys at the wineries.
First we went to the Inn at Churon Winery and had some lovely wines. My favorite from there was their Viogner and their Merlot. Of course, since it was a lovely day we decided to head to a winery with outdoor seating next, so we went to meet some other friends, Mark & Jessica, at Mount Palomar winery. There was some lovely outdoor seating here but it was very crowded because there was a wedding taking place at the winery that day. They closed off part of the outdoor for the tent, but we had a great time anyway. My favorite wine there was the Reisling - a deliciously sweet white wine to finish my evening.
After the end of the wine tasting, Spencer, Louise, Nick and I decided to go grab some dinner and happened upon a delicious Indian restaurant called The Blue Peacock. The food was fabulous there and we had a lot of fun enjoying the Ballywood movies playing on the TV during dinner. There is a Valentine's day all-night Ballywood dance party there that we contemplated attending, but it's probably unlikely we'll drive back to Temecula for a dance party.
Overall it was a great day with some good friends. :- )
